Please note that this review for the Schwinn 202 exercise bike is written based on one week (comments added 1/7/10) to use so it can not possibly resolve performance over the long term. As I recall, I shall return in a few months and make a record more complete.
Firstly, the Schwinn 202 Recumbent Exercise Bike was shipped quickly and arrived on time. The package was slightly damaged, but all the bike parts arrived in good condition. It seems that the Chinese manufacturer of motorcycles packed for shipment in containers, and not for personal transport. However, everything was correct.
Assembly is simple. I was interrupted horses (neighbor is out), but the total assembly was probably about an hour, working alone. Note that I am an experienced assembler, having implemented several cars, trucks, bicycles, tricycles, etc in the wee hours of Christmas morning. Also note that Step 5 (page 11) calls for the removal of the support rail of the seat, the hook on my bike was not already installed, and if not read the instructions, I installed the media, that c is that the proposed scheme. No big deal, but will you withdraw later. Other than that glitch, everything went smoothly. Incidentally, all the tools you need are included in the package - nice touch on Schwinn 202 recumbent bike.
By using a single week, the Schwinn 202 Recumbent Exercise Bike has been completely silent in operation, I certainly hope that continues. (Added 1/7/10: After using a month, she developed a clicking sound as I pedal.) By default, the bike starts to intensity level 3. Advancing to Level 4 is detectable but not severe. Other measures seem to increase resistance to a higher level.

"I can not grasp the front handle bars as he sat with his back against the backrest, in fact I can barely touch them with my fingers. To grasp the handles I do look forward. Not a biggie, but I prefer them to be located in front of electronic display, rather than behind.
As the panel electronics, it seems that the MPH indicated is high, 80 RPM records is 16 miles per hour, while my old recumbent bike showed 13 mph. The registers display about 25 calories per mile at the level of resistance 4. The heart rate monitor is about 5 beats per minute higher than my unit from Polar, but I can not say with certainty that it is closer.
I do not like how the schwinn 202 recumbent bike changes in functionality between "time lapse" and a screen countdown minute 6 seconds apart - I still prefer it to display the elapsed. If there is a way to reset this function, I could not find it. (Added 1/7/10: Press LOCK to take on the elapsed times and MPH.)
Also, my old recumbent exercise bike stopped the clock elapsed each times on the schwinn bike. I left to ride, but it keeps running - stop to answer the bell for 5 minutes thinking of year, while I was away. (Added 1/7/10: Press STOP once (once) to interrupt the display and the button at the top left (I forget the label) to resume.)
I have not used any training programs scheduled because I practice 78-82 RPM for 30 minutes, varying pedal resistance during the training session (I'm a 70-year-old male and try not to build endurance.)
The rack of "magazine" is just a small ledge. He held a magazine, I suppose, but I put my little MP3 player on it. I do not believe that some major players remain on the edge.
"I knew before I ordered the bike, so I really can not complain, but I much prefer the unit display to be powered by a battery, as my old bike was. The Schwinn 220 exercise bike must be plugged into an AC outlet - without electricity you do not receive displays, and can not vary the resistance.
The Schwinn 202 Recumbent Exercise Bike seems to be quite large, and my overall impression at this stage is favorable. If it continues to operate as it does now, I'm happy with my purchase.
